Draft pending legal review. This describes what the software
actually does today. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and is not legal
advice.
The short version
When you ask NoScam to check a deal, the text, link, or images you submit are
sent to our server and then to OpenAI, which runs the analysis. We do not sell
your data and we do not build advertising profiles. If you are not signed in,
the conversation you submitted is discarded once the analysis finishes. The
one thing we keep is a scrambled fingerprint of any payment account in it, so
we can warn the next person if the same account turns up again.
What you give us
- What you submit for analysis — conversation text, listing
links, seller details, and any images you attach. This is the only
sensitive content involved, and it frequently contains other people's
words and personal details, so we treat it accordingly.
- A fingerprint of payment details you paste. If your
submission contains a bank account number or a crypto wallet address, we
keep a one-way fingerprint of it — a scrambled value we cannot turn back
into the original number. We do this because a payout account that keeps
reappearing across different people's checks is one of the clearest signs
of a scam, and it lets us warn the next person. We do not fingerprint
phone numbers, email addresses, or messaging IDs, and we never store
주민등록번호 or any other government identifier.
- Feedback you choose to send. If you tell us whether a
verdict looked right or wrong, we keep the verdict's own details — the
score, the risk band, and which warning signs fired — so we can measure
how accurate the checker is. The text you submitted is included
only if you tick the box offering it, and is then used to test
the checker's accuracy. Leave it unticked and the conversation is still
never stored.
- An anonymous account identifier. Every visitor gets an
anonymous session so we can apply usage limits. It is not tied to your
name, email, or device identity.
- Your email and display name — only if you choose to
create an account.
- Usage events — that an analysis ran, its type, its risk
band, how long it took, and how many tokens it used. These never include
the text you submitted.
Who else sees it
- OpenAI processes the content you submit in order to
produce the analysis. It is sent over the OpenAI API.
- Google Firebase provides our hosting, authentication,
database, and analytics.
That is the complete list. We do not share your data with anyone else, and we
do not sell it.
How long we keep it
- Not signed in: the text, links, and images you submitted
are not stored after the analysis returns. What remains is the aggregate
usage counters and the payment-account fingerprints described above.
- Payment fingerprints are deleted automatically 90 days
after the last time we saw them.
- Feedback is kept until we have acted on it. If you sent
a conversation along with it, you can ask us to delete that at any time.
- Signed in: your analyses are saved to your history so you
can return to them, until you delete them or your account.
- Shared results live for up to one year, or until you ask
us to remove one.
Shared results
When you share a result, the link carries the verdict, the risk score, and the
names of the warning signs found. It does not carry the conversation
or listing text you pasted. This is deliberate: a shared link should
not expose the other party's messages or personal details. Shared results are
excluded from search engines.
Your choices
- Use NoScam without an account. Nothing you submit is retained.
- Delete any saved analysis, or your whole account, from the app.
- Ask us to remove a shared result.
- Request a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it.
Children
NoScam is not intended for anyone under 14.
